After her summer at the Sevilleta in 2007 she obviously could not stay away and decided to come back for another Sevilleta REU in 2008. "Arthropod response to a seasonal prescribed burn" was the title of her project. Her mentor was University of New Mexico, Department of Biology Professor and Sevilleta LTER Lead P.I. Dr. Scott Collins.
Ashley Schafer graduated from Ursinus College in May of 2009 with a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies.
