Climate
We have applied extensive changes to the infrastructure of the
Climate and Meteorology pages at our web site. The list below
provides access to the long-term datasets (Intersite Archive Format)
produced by the Sevilleta LTER.
Previously available climate information (other than IAF files)
can be found under our
climate research pages.
Please update any bookmarks or favorite URLs you may be using;
we apologize for any inconvenience these changes may have caused.
Sevilleta LTER climate data:
- Meteorology - (SEV001) These files
contain the weather data for a network of permanent weather stations
on the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge, Langmuir Labs, and the
Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.
- 1-Minute Precipitation - (SEV001) These files
are produced from the raw data of SEV001; they provide precipitation
numbers on a 1-minute basis, whereas the summaries provided above are
on an hourly basis.
- Lightning Strikes - (SEV003) These files contain
daily lightning activity data for the state of New Mexico. These data are
collected by a network of lightning detection stations scattered throughout
the western United States named the LLP Lightning Locating System.
Only data on cloud-to-ground lightning flashes are recorded in these files.
- Bowen Ratio Evapotranspiration - (SEV079)
These files contain raw data from the Bowen Ratio Tower at the Deep
Well meteorological site.
- Tipping Bucket Precipitation Grid - (SEV021)
These files contain precipitation data for a network (grid) of 12 tipping
bucket rain gauges located on the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge.
These rain gauges were installed for the LLP/PPT correlation study.
- Bosque Evapotranspiration - (SEV???) Data from Bosque ET Study, including tower data from San Acacia site, Sevilleta NWR.
