The Sevilleta LTER maintains records of lightning strike events on the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge as well as the rest of New Mexico. These lightning stikes can be used as a correlate for precipitation during convective thunderstorm events which are the dominant inputs at the Sevilleta..
