Abstract
This dataset contains weights of vegetation biomass collected in fertilizer plots from 1989 through 1992. The data were originally collected to analyze the effects of fertilization on vegetation productivity on the Sevilleta NWR.
Methods
Collection sites:
Samples were collected at two sites on the Sevilleta NWR. East side lots were located just north of Five-points on McKenzie Flats. West side plots were located on the flats to the north and west of the Sevilleta Field Station. Access was via the AT&T gate and then south along old US 85.
Processing:
The samples were processed at the UNM Biology annex. Processing included sorting into live and dead fractions, weighing of all samples, ashing for organic content, and some limited analysis for N and P.
